At work we most often see each other through the prism of the tasks and projects on which we work together. It is, however, worth it to go beyond the frameworks and get to know each other better. We encourage you to read on about the interesting, often unusual hobbies and interests which fill the lives of our employees after hours...
“My biggest passion, which I devote myself to in my free time, is cycling. Currently I ride a mountain bike and train mountain cycling at an amateur level, but am also planning to try my strengths on the road. Since the beginning of the 2014 season I have been a part of an amateur cycling team called ‘IM-MOTION Team Wrocław’. Together with a group of friends we participate in mountain cycling marathons, like the Bike Marathon, MTB Marathon and others. This year I have an ambitious plan to train and improve my results. One of my primary goals in this season is to improve my general ranking position in the Bike Marathon by at least 20 spots.”
“Every important event is filled with them: small, colourful, fragrant, inspiring, giving joy. They are an important element of a festive table, and also commemorate exceptional moments... You are probably wondering what they are... simply flowers. I take great pleasure in using these miracles of nature for decoration – to stylishly adorn interiors during various festivities, or add them as ornaments on a piece of clothing a special day.”
"After hours... we launch out of work... running. Yes, what gives us undeniable satisfaction is running... an insanely simple sport, but at the same time very demanding. The qualities which are required at work, such as self-discipline, perseverance and goal orientation reflect in this area of activity. We regularly raise our own bar, taking part in various marathons... and now... ready... set ... go.”
“A combination of work and passion is a dream of many people. It turns out, however, that the recipe is very simple – all it takes is: one good idea, a group of volunteers, a bit of courage to get started, and a pinch of motivation to act. Heat up all of the above in an atmosphere of boiling rivalry and serve on warm wood flooring; and when you add a few successes, it also provides tremendous satisfaction. As a result of that, with the initiative of a few Rawlplug employees, a football team, currently called the Modeco Football Team, was born, and for several years now has been maintaining a leading position in Wrocław’s largest amateur league.”
“After hours I am associated with the largest driving school in Wrocław, fulfilling the responsibilities of a driving instructor. I take care of training and instructing student drivers who decided to learn the technical and practical secrets of driving a vehicle. I conduct theoretical classes in the form of lectures and presentations. On the practical side, however, I show students how to safely drive a vehicle to finally, during the exam, be met with a smile on the examiner’s face :-) In short, I take great satisfaction in being able to allay any doubts of beginner drivers and love to pass on this mystical knowledge.”
"As all of us, I do not really know why I like Friday. On that day, after work, I usually stop by a little store in Karłowice, Wrocław, where the exquisite selection of meat enables culinary experiments. Once I have decided upon food products, I look at shelves groaning with wine. As a rule, I choose red wine, always dry. I like wines with a nose, which leave a long trace of taste, as well as those with a very strong perceptible bouquet. When I finally know what to put on the plate and what to pour in the glass, I play some (usually loud) music and cook. With veal and lamb - thyme. Tripe or chitterlings cannot do without nutmeg and ginger. Steaks and beef like simplicity: salt, pepper and clarified butter are enough to make them delicious. When cooking, moderation is the key. All that frying, baking, cooking and sipping wine allows me to relax after a whole week of work. I love cooking. It is my way to reboot myself. "The world of tastes."
