I took my first steps at the Warsaw branch as a sales representative and, frankly speaking... I fixed myself in sales. Probably thanks to being very involved in my work and achieving above average results the first interesting promotion opportunity emerged, and I became a sales manager, and later department manager, and began to share my knowledge with my team. I must say, that managing people in the area of sales contributed to the broadening of my professional horizons, and because I was successful in this area, I later received an offer to test my skills at the position of Director of Domestic Sales. My development also means the development of my department, which is why more and more new people and even entire teams join our ranks. Today I hold the position of the Trade Director, which is a tremendous challenge for me, as well as my people to carry out ambitious goals set before us together. If I had to answer the question ‘What is the key to my successes’, I would answer briefly: I like what I do!”

“If I were to briefly describe my development at the Rawlplug Group, It would simply be the ‘American dream – from rags to riches ;-)’. Don’t take it literally.
My first steps at the Rawlplug Group were at the position of a warehouse worker. It was far from a standard position, as my responsibilities far exceeded the scope of work of people who normally take care of storing goods. I often had a chance to use knowledge in the area of IT and graphic design.
Due to the fact that I took my job seriously and quickly acquired new knowledge, in addition to showing a bit of initiative, I managed to transfer from the area of logistics to sales. I have to say that customers and relationships are the meaning of my professional work so the realization of goals comes naturally. At the Rawlplug Group I had the opportunity to get to know sales from the two most important perspectives: as a sales representative – servicing and acquiring customers, as well as a product manager of the Nilfisk brand – having direct influence on the development of products which would finally be sold. From a combination of those experiences and thanks to a tremendous need to develop an opportunity to work at a managerial position as Director of DIY Sales for Poland emerged and ... of course I accepted this ambitious proposal.
For several months I have been facing new challenge and despite 12 years of work at the Rawlplug Group, I discover it again and again.”
“I have been working at the Rawlplug Group for 13 years now. During many years of work I managed to get to know the company quite well and develop with it, going through various positions and departments. I started at the position of a sales clerk in the Sales Department, and then moved on to the Customer Service Unit and the position of a customer service representative. Here I had an opportunity of significant vertical advancement – gaining experience as a customer service coordinator, deputy customer service unit manager, ending with a managerial position. All those changes were for me not only great opportunities, but also challenges to fulfill my professional goals. I know that it was possible as a result of my superiors’ trust in my capabilities.
In order to make further professional advancement possible, I received an offer to establish a Project Management Office and take the position of the manager of that unit. I admit, that it was a great honour for me and I accepted it with undisguised pleasure. I am convinced that this area (new to me, as well as the organization) will provide me with many ambitious challenges.”
“I really like people and hope that they also react positively to me. I do not imagine myself doing a job that doesn’t involve contact with customers. Obviously, it does get difficult when you have to handle a person with a claiming attitude, but at the same time solving a difficult issue gives great satisfaction. It’s most likely this kind of attitude combined with activeness and openness towards challenges that gave me the opportunity to develop in the Customer Service Unit. Dealing with adversity with optimism and taking advantage of favorable circumstances, I went through the development path from a customer service specialist, then chief of Customer Service, to finally hold the position of the Customer Service Unit Manager.”
“Experience in customer service allows me to understand the processes taking place at the company. Working in the Customer Service Unit, where I started out my adventure with the Rawlplug Group, helped me to understand the needs and expectations of customers in the context of logistic servicing then /.../ later having the opportunity to test my strengths in a more demanding area – the Purchasing Department – I took the challenge. I’d say, it was a very good step to take and it gave me a chance to take another one, namely get to know the processes associated with the company’s planning and sourcing. Currently I hold a position of planning and sourcing specialist, but who knows what opportunities lie ahead.”
